Uncle , You might want to have a look at an excellent program which is both a RAM disk AND disk cache , allows you to get the best of both by dynamically and automatically allocating its memory between both . It is a russian shareware called the CombiDisk and I highly recommend its use ( only it is not compatible with DoubleSpace/Drivespace nor probably Superstore etc. drive compression , at least the version I used ) Please do an internet search for "combidisk" ...
