This is probably a very dumb question, but what is to be gained by using a
'free email' service like 'SoftHome.net'? To conect to the web in the first
place you need a provider, either free or comercial, and ,as far as I know,
these always seem to provide mail service anyway, so what's the point in
using one provider to access another provider to get mail service that the
first provider provides anyway?

Another dumb question: I have two email accounts, one commercial, one free,
but the free service is hard to get on to at some times durring the day. It
would be niffty if I could download my mail on the free provider while using
the commercial provider durring such times. Is is possible to get mail off
of one provider while logged in to another provider?
