Michael obviously ported version 1.66 to Linux, so I would think it would be a matter of getting that source, and incoporating (some of) the changes that have been made to the DOS tree. I'm no C programmer, but it would seem that whatever syntax changes were necessary to make 1.66 compile with gnu make, would just need to be incorporated into the new code as well.
