In Oz we have a similar selection of rubbish, but we also have one almost-unbiased radio network (Australian Broadcasting Commission - ABC), and two almost unbiased TV news services (ABC and SBS), both government funded to a large extent, and both bitterly criticised by governments of all flavours for being biased against them. I figure if all political viewpoints complain, then they must be running close to truth much of the time.
