Thanks Bastiaan. At present I'm using EasyTrax which is freeware from Protel, the writers of AutoCAD. It is actually a PCB track writer, but it can do schematics, once you build your own library of symbols. It runs under DOS in low memory, but I can recommend it. The worst part is getting a handbook for it -- these are long out of print and very hard to find.
