Nothing was done with the Linux version of Arachne after the initial release. It was never improved or updated. It's dead. Michael has said that he "is working" on an Arachne version 2.00 which would be entirely new, designed especially for Linux and perhaps portable to other platforms via what he's called a "flowerpot" concept. The status of version 2.00 is unknown. My guess is that it never got out of the planning stage and is probably also dead. I don't think Michael has the time to program anymore.
