Primary indexes and edge indexes are created automatically and in-memory. They can't be removed, but since 3.0 it is possible to create additional (secondary) indexes including the system attributes _key, _from and _to.
This will of course require additional memory. Allowing to have the builtin indexes to be persistent (possibly by allowing to remove the default indexes) is something we have on the roadmap, but no ETA yet. 3.1 release is planned for October. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ArangoDB" group.
