Thanks for this. I have downloaded your code and it seems to work OK.

I have not had a chance to study the source closely yet. I am working on 
preparing the code that I have written, and making it into a suitable 
standalone patch so that you and others can see it.

After that we can have some sort of discussion on how to combine the two 
code-bases, as they both have strengths in different areas.
