Yes, that was incredibly useful. I've opted for the "open a palette-mapped screen" approach, and set the palette the same as the emulated palette, I can then just write pixels using the logical palette numbers, which seems a little faster than writing to a true colour screen - although it is difficult to tell. ArcEm is displaying correctly and boots quickly (faster than a real A5000 AFAIR). Now for the next hurdle. Please can you give me a quick rundown of which variables are supposed to be set and to which values for keyboard and mouse input. I gather these are all in the KBD structure but there seems to be a few different mouse and keyboard variables and I'm not sure what to set. Thanks for all your help so far.
