Heck, erm that was a while ago, now lets see.   From a quick dig around in 
a directory I've not touched in ~15 years, I can see there is an 'lkb' directory
that has glue to set the kernel image up to boot and produce the image.

That should be ftp://ftp.treblig.org/pub/linux/arcem/lkb-src.tgz

Strings on the ROM image says:

Linux version 2.0.35 (gilbe...@tardis.home.dave) (gcc version egcs-2.91.53 
19980803 (gcc2 ss-980609 experimental)) #4 Sun Aug 16 20:35:55 BST 1998

so, that was built on my Alpha, hmm, I doubt I've still got the build dir on 
there
but I can have a look over xmas if you're still after it.
