Thanks to those who supported my case. I'm glad the nilfs and btrfs utilities are now in core.
Large part of this discussion was based on different interpretations of various people, caused by things not being accurately written down when they are decided. So, since Thomas' description made sense, noone complained, and it seems to match the current state of core and the signoff procedure anyway, I wrote a little addition to the Arch history and copy pasted (with minimal editing) Thomas' description as the current definition of core. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php?title=Official_Repositories&action=historysubmit&diff=129343&oldid=126254 Dieter
