heads up for r8169 module users: if you see in dmesg r8169 0000:07:00.0: lan: link down/up lines you should check if your card is Realtek RTL8111E, the kernel r8169 module is broken in .38/.39 and .32lts kernels and may freeze your system under heavy network i/o. Using the r8168 origianl Realtek driver from AUR will solve this. Kernel 3.0 will have a r8169 rewrite that works for me. -Andy
