Hi, I suggest using A Download Redirector and Metalink Generator like mirror brain(http://mirrorbrain.org/) to reduce work load on main ArchLinux Server.
Also, we should have few other official mirrors apart from al.org from which mirrors of rest of the world would sync. essentially spreading out the work over couple of servers hence increasing the overall updating speed. We have to keep in mind that arch is a rolling release distro so mirror should update more frequently(like once in a day). Regards, Gaurish Sharma
