I don't think many active members of the Arch community know what that group is. In fact, I am personally somewhat skeptical of Telegram in the same way I am skeptical about WhatsApp. (It may not be run by an unscrupulous social media company, but it is still a closed-source server model). What would making it "official" mean? Users are free to reach out to other users however they would like to personally agree to reach out.
