All,

I'm scratching my head on a vim modeline warning that appeared in a c++26 example from StackOverflow [1] and the linked Godbolt code [2]. Upon opening the source file I get:

"tmp/cpp/execution-stop-cpp26.cpp" 62L, 2201B
Error detected while processing modelines:
line   59:
E518: Unknown option: sync_wait(ex
Press ENTER or type command to continue

(you can simply type ENTER and vim then opens fine)

  The line in question is:

ex::sync_wait(ex::write_env(pipeline, ex::prop(ex::get_stop_token, stop.get_token())));

You can simply copy/paste or heredoc the line into a file and then try and open it with vim to generate the error. (filename and extension does not matter, calling the file "foo" is fine)

This occurs with the latest vim 9.2 from Arch, but not from Tumbleweed. I don't know if this is a known problem, or something in the build options used with Arch, but I've not run into this before. (I have the same .vimrc on both Arch and Tumbleweed)

If somebody can confirm, and confirm this is a bug, I'm happy to open an issue on gitlab.
