this is what i get File not found If you encounter errors trying to install an application, such as, "*error: failed retrieving file 'foobar.pkg.tar.xz' from extra: Not Found*", this invariably means one of two things: either your local database is out-of-date and needs to be resynced with a '*pacman -Syyu*', or your mirror is out of date and you need to choose one that is up-to-date. ok what i did is i deleted the mirrorlist and was trying to download a new one and i can't download it
at the time i didn't know you can do that my next question is how can i do it in ROOT thank you On Wed, Jul 28, 2021 at 7:58 AM Kristian Klausen via arch-mirrors < [email protected]> wrote: > On 28.07.2021 13.22, Anthony Givens via arch-mirrors wrote: > > Dear sir or madam i've been working on installing Archlinux on a older > > laptop i was almost finish when i tried to download xorg the > > mirrors,it's really hard to say what the error was but when i try a > > few times it wouldn't download, so i try to see if i can remove the > > older downloads and get some new one but it wouldn't let me so i'm > > between a rock and a hard place what i need is to be able to download > > from root the mirrorlist so i can keep going > > could you help me thank you > > Hi Anthony > > It is hard to tell what the issue is with so few details. > I would recommend asking for help on IRC[1] or the forum[2]. > > [1] https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_IRC_channels > [2] https://bbs.archlinux.org/ > > Best regards > Kristian Klausen >
