Maybe I'm just being a pedant, but that's a bit of a generalisation:
my workstation used to be switched on continuously (for about 150 days
at the most I think), but then I decided I'd like some less painful
electricity bills, so now at the very least, it's off overnight. 
Helps save the world I suppose!
