AFAIK it worked in this location when added
'live' to depends line, as well as
--enable-live --with-livelibdir=/usr/lib/live
to ./configure's line.
That was with latest stable MPlayer 1pre08.
BTW, version '1.0rc1' of 'MPlayer' has just been released through
freshmeat.net.
