No, I saw that message on the front page before my
upgrade, and updated pacman first.
/var/log/pacman.log:
[2007-06-20 22:49] upgraded pacman (3.0.5-1 ->
3.0.5-2)
Then I re-installed any packages I had upgraded with
3.0.5-1.
With 3.0.5-2 I tested several times replacing my /opt
symlink, then trying to install the jre package, each
time my /opt symlink was overwritten.
