Since updating to the testing repo a few days ago, I notice a minor but quite irritating behaviour of the desktop, both in gnome and xfce4 (which makes me think this has nothing to do with gnome per se, but perhaps with x11). The issue is that switching from one workspace to another is really slower than it used to be, and quite CPU-intensive. (It takes at least one full second, during which the CPU activity peaks above 80% on my machine).
Note that this happens only when certain programs are active and/or a certain number of windows are opened in the target workspace. Has anybody else experienced this?
