Hm, I was going to report that the other day, but I failed to find a good reference for it, like an upstream bug report. Though there is the post on the ML, which might be good enough : http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg/2007-August/027258.html So, if I understand correctly, you can either disable hal with --disable-config-hal , or disable dmx with --disable-dmx , and it should build properly.
