Hi Eloise,

Yes, you can load your own data into Arches.  The Installation manual has a 
pretty thorough explanation of how to do this.  Did you already try following 
the steps?

Also, you should know that v2.0 of Arches was released recently.  If you are 
using the VM option, then you're probably running the older v1 version of the 
software.  I would suggest upgrading to v2 as soon as practical...
