Greetings Arches Community!

First of all, I would like to congratulate all the Arches developers for
their work! Arches looks like a really promising platform and I believe it
will be eventually adopted by many heritage professionals.

I am Alex Besir, a student of Faculty of Computer and Information Science,
University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and I will be developing a new web
register for slovenian immovable heritage using Arches for my thesis.

I plan on finishing this project before January 2015, so I am a bit
uncertain about which version of Arches to go with. I understand the
version 2 is officially the stable one and it is probably the safest
choice, but looking at the roadmap, the upcoming version 3 looks really
amazing and I think it would be even better, if I could use it for my
thesis.

So, my question for the developers is, how complete is the version 3 (which
is available on bitbucket)? Are there any major features, issues and bugs
which still have to be resolved, or the only remaining steps are testing
and documentation writing? If I start working with the version 3 today,
should I expect a lot of difficulties?

Thank you for your replies in advance,
keep up the great work!

Alex Besir
