Hi Srinath,

I have checked this out last week. Yes its a layer built on top of vega and
they have simplified the vega grammar. In Vega users need to define scales,
axes and define mark to draw the graph which is little bit complicated.

When it comes to vega-lite it has eliminated those and let users to define
x, y, color and markType which is much simple and easy to use. From
configuration grammar point of view this is little bit like VizGrammar as
we also have let users to define x,y and color.

We can keep using vega under the VizGrammar. On the hand in VizGrammar we
are not going to restrict to to vega charts but also we will implement d3
charts if there are any limitations with vega. Also we have embedded
runtime implementation such as custom tooltip and click callbacks inside
the VizGrammar.

Regards,
