Hi Kyle,

Here at Anderson University we've been running our external Solr instance
on the same server as ArchivesSpace for over a month now with no issues.
That being said, the server receives minimal traffic so I can't attest to
any volume related performance impacts but appears to be similar to running
the embedded Solr (or in our case, potentially running even better than
before).

If any of the larger users have looked into this I'd be interested in
seeing what you've found.
