Hi Gang: If you're paranoid about data (like moi), you'll probably want to perform regular backups of your Ariel databases. For those of you who are using Ariel 4.1x and MS SQLExpress 2005, you'll have to resort to a 3rd party solution, since SQLExpress does not come loaded with the SQL Agent service that comes with the full MS SQL server.
Luckily, Jasper Smith of SQLdbatips.com has done a nice write-up on how to do this, and created a small application, ExpressMaint.exe to do most of the heavy lifting. Download ExpressMaint.exe and read the articles here: http://www.sqldbatips.com/showarticle.asp?ID=27 KW ------------------------------ Keith Welch Network & Software Analyst Customer & Access Services Dept.
