We have Ariel 4.1 and when we send (in the send queue, not "send to patron" option) to an e-mail address, the status is "sent" unless there is a problem. If the status remains "ready", the article is not received. Normally Ariel tries a certain number of times to send the "ready" articles, then stops. Go see the log to know what the error message is. It often says "disk full, transfer aborted" or something like that. I don't know exactly what it means, but I think that it tells that when there is a problem with the receiving machine.
