This jar is on maven central:
  
http://repo2.maven.org/maven2/org/apache/geronimo/components/geronimo-transaction/2.2.1/

Maybe delete the
~/.m2/repository/org/apache/geronimo/components/geronimo-transaction/2.2.1/
folder and retry ?
