From 15 to 30 October, ARIN held a Consultation seeking feedback from the community on a suggested feature that would allow customers to manage the ability to control reallocations to their Organization (Org IDs) to protect against bad actors and reputational damage.
After reviewing and discussing the comments received during the consultation, ARIN plans to prioritize this feature for future development. Based on feedback received, ARIN will establish a per Org ID feature to allow reallocations to their organization. This option will be deployed with default value of “off” and will require customers to explicitly enable it to continue receive reallocations to their Org ID. Placement on the development roadmap remains to be determined but is considered a high priority. Once this feature is deployed on a priority basis, ARIN will evaluate further enhancements as sought by the community. ARIN thanks those who provided valuable feedback on this consultation.
