I don't see how the excerpt from the site (bottom of this mail) applies in this case, on the contrary the ARM list is likely to be biased towards ARM and may not be able to answer the question from both sides and so in this particular case likely does increase the likelihood of getting a useful response. I did consider a majordomo command to evaluate if the arm list alone would be fine but decided I may not be able to judge that (limited to simply seeing if theo or some other devs were members of arm@, basically).
