Thanks for sharing. I'm placing Hiassen on the list. Lately I hunger for books that make me laugh. "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, beer in the other, screaming WOOHOO!!! What a ride!!!"(borrowed from another signature) Deb

I enjoyed the John Grogan so much I e-mailed him to tell him so. The Wally Lamb was just great. The books about John Lennon and the Roosevelts were also excellent. I also had plenty of other good reads. I forgot how funny Hiaasen is. I lost track of him over the years and am rereading everything. I live in Florida, so it really hits home, especially since I used to live in a big bass-fishing town. It was my first shot at Andrew Vachss, and while I enjoyed it, I found his protagonist to be really weird, which is why I rated it down a little. The only real stinker this month was the Anne Rice book about Jesus. I can't remember the last time I rated a book so low. I totally hated it. It was really boring. I read her first book in this series and it, while not a favorite, was nowhere near as bad. I'm not sure if I'll bother with the next one or not. Anyhow, that's my month in review. Happy reading. -- Stacie Dasher staciedasher at gmail.com staciedasher at verizon.net [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ *No Group-Books Currently*Yahoo!
