Yeah! I also think that Hum hay is pal kaha has been ruined by Udit. Also the Nayak song--Chale chalo mitwa----it was sung beautifully by both Hari and Srinivas in Tamil.
 
But Udit also sung some songs for ARR quite good----songs of Lagan, Swadesh, and Dil se are quite good.
