Today's TOI report on 3D tour has a box item which says that certain
reviews of the stage adaptation of MM Kaye's 'Far Pavilions' mention
that the show would have been better if Rahman was its composer. Far
Pavilions is the love story between an Indian princess and a British
Officer set in British Raj. The Indian connection could be the reasn
why Rahman's name cropped up in the reviews.

"Basically, it's a romantic melodrama with tunes that, if A. R. Rahman
of Bombay Dreams were composing, would have a far greater Indian sound"

"While Bombay Dreams had the mighty A.R. Rahman, Far Pavilions reduces
Indian musical heritage to a bunch of white guys in Indian garb trying
to do Bhangra and a few tabla beats at the end of some songs"
