Oh, about the 'Swades' fact, in case you didn't know. When Swades
released, many people were disappointed that Rahman re-used Baba
kitchutha song for 'Dekho na'. There were comments like.. "why
can't he be original", "what is he going to do for the Tamil version
of Swades, how is he going to justify it"...etc...etc.. until one of
the close associates clarified with Rahman.

It turned out, Ashutosh Gowarikar had heard Baba and he really liked
that song, and he insisted Rahman to use it in Swades. Ashutosh
himself called Rajni and asked his permission to use the song. So,
after this clarification, the disappointment slowly faded, which
shows that it was only artifical disappointment.

And look what a marvellous job Rahman sir did to transform the up
beat Baba song into soothing 'Dekho na'. Can you imagine what
Rahman could have been thinking... "Oh, great you want the fast beat
Baba song in a slow situation in Swades, with other songs like Yehh
tara, and Yuhi chala chall"... and yet he did it like nobody could
tell. Both the songs are so different that I don't know which one I
like better.

And now, people are complaining about him re-using beats in Rising.
Come on guys, cut the guy a slack.

Anyway, guys do correct me if I'm wrong about Swades, but as far as
I can remember this is what had happened.

Regards.
