Kamal Haasan's unending cinematic quest continues with a 10-role performance in his next "Dasaavataaram" (Ten Incarnations), directed by K.S. Ravikumar and produced by V. Ravichandran.

A.R. Rahman will score the music and 'Crazy' Mohan will write the dialogues for the far from mythological film.

Mega stars of the Tamil screen have delivered similar multi-role performances before. Sivaji Ganesan did so twice - in "Navaratri" and "Thiruvilaiyadal". P.U. Chinnappa, a singing star of pre-Independence days, performed the feat in "Jagathalapratapan" (where he gave a musical concert as the vocalist and several accompanying artistes).

Details have not been divulged about Kamal's roles in the film. It has been given out, however, that one of the roles has him drawling in an American accent. Kamal is spending some time in the US, picking up the accent in his characteristically painstaking manner.

Accents have always fascinated him. In the past, he has successfully attempted the accents of Palakkad Tamil and the Thevar dialect, and even the Udupi-ites in a Kannada film, among others.

The overall accent of "Dasaavataaram", however, will be on comedy.

Vande Matharam,

Prakash
