Rumors rake `Sivaji' By MIO Team Nov 23, 2005, 08:50 Printer friendly page No doubt, Superstar Rajnikanth's magnum opus has been talked about since it took its first stepped. But now, a rumor has struck really hard on it. The news is doing round that it is a remake of a Malayalam film.
The grapevine is abuzz with the news that `Sivaji' is a remake of Malayalam film `Naaduvaazhigal' that shocked the people in 1980s. This Mohanlal film exposed the political corruption. Some people even quoted the example of `Chandramukhi', where director Vasu and the Producer Prabhu claimed till the last hour that it's not a remake of Malayalam film `Manichitrathazh'. Some claimed that `Sivaji' is nothing but a remake of `Naaduvaazhigal' with more technology. However, it is unlikely that a big banner like AVM will indulge in remakes without obtaining the rights. But the commence of the film even before its take off has created more fuel to the rumors. Now, another serious rumor has struck Rajnikanth's film. Anyway, no one can hide the truth.
