Aamir bowled over by Mani Has signed Mani Ratnams next film without reading the script! Daily News and Analysis There are always too many stories surrounding Aamir Khan. One of them is, of course, how he meticulously goes through his film scripts and how he flawlessly gets under the skin of the characters he plays. But from what we hear, Khan has signed a Mani Ratnam film (produced by Bobby Bedi) without even going through the script! Apparently, Khan wanted to act under Ratnams direction for long and he saw this as an opportunity to work with the Chennai-based genius. Incidentally, Khan had some issues with the filmmakers controversial movie Bombay. In an interview published in The Guardian in 2002, he remarked that the film distorted the truth. Meanwhile, Bedi confirms that he is doing two films with Khan. But I dont want to say whether he has read the script or not thats between us. Bedi says that their proposed Rs 300 crore Mahabharata (which was to star Shah Rukh Khan too) is a different film that he is working on.
