What's wrong with Rang De Basanti By IndiaFM Friday, 13 January , 2006, 13:41 Rang De Basanti has been making headlines since the past few days due to objections raised over the subject matter. An overview of what exactly is offensive in the film: 1.The movie revolves around a bunch of friends. One of them loses his life in a MIG crash. At the end of the film, there is a dedication to "dead MIG pilots." The IAF wants this dedication to "all pilots who have laid down lives", since the former dedication is demoralizing for the youth. The producers have already agreed to delete the dedication. 2.In the film, the Defence Minister attributed the death of the pilot to human error. Army officials want this character to be referred as minister and not Defence Minister. 3.IAF officials want a chart to be displayed at the end of the movie, which states that there is a 50% drop in crashes. 4.They do not want the events to be dated to 2002 as it refers to the tenure of George Fernandes.
