Hi, Well I have no problem with his believing that faith is good and a strong binding. But the answer somehow comes across as proclaiming it as a "necessary" virtue and using it as a yardstick to evaluate people (east vs west), which I feel is not proper as faith (or its absence) is essentially a personal decision.
This tone in the answer is of course very subtle and I believe, not at all intentional.
