Did you feel that while giving music to JA it had to be better than
mughal-e-azam ?

ans : due respect to mughal-e-azaam , i never felt like that . since JA
comes before mughal-e-azaam and it shows the pain of jodha bhai . so you
know themes are different

How was work with ashutosh gowaritker ?

ans : he is a very good director. he has a clear picture what he is upto ,

ans : very strangely i wanted to do a song for khwaja saheb in ajmer darga .
the other day i went to ajmer day some one told me to do so . i was
travelling to australia when i composed this song . when ashutosh came to me
and explained the importance of ajmer in the movie i decided to use this
compositions. i loved composing that song

which was the most difficult song to compose in JA ?

ans : not dofficult , but it took a lot of thinking while composing in
lamhon ki dammon and man mohona , you know situation wise , it had to be
melodious and also powerful

what do you think about the listeners ?

ans : i think people are pretty smart . they know what to expect from the
film and its songs. at the same time , i have tried to keep it contemporary
also . so people dont get bored <<laughs>>

what is JA for you ?

ans : its a sensible and a bold movie. ultimately it is a love story

what is your view about today's music ?

ans : music has gone a long way . people should expect something from music
and not just listen
