Chord, in my opinion, I think it's very difficult to try and describe what the award acknowledges; commercial success or critical acclaim or a bit of both. These awards are all very subjective. Just like our opinions. One likes a certain movie/soundtrack/performance more than the other and vice verse. Dynamics of Indian Cinema and the film fraternity is something I've never understood and probably never will. Sending Paheli to the Oscars, choosing Main Hoon Na over Swades for best music for a filmfare award, choosing Abhishek over SRK (Gurukanth over Kabir Khan) for best performance and the list is never ending. At the end of the day it comes down to personal choice. We are here to share these personal choices here and so I hope when one does do that, and in the instance that we don't agree with his/her view, please make your case as to why you disagree with the person and not resort to attacking the person. Because at the end of the day, there is NO REAL answer to , "which is the best soundtrack?,"Which is the best song" "Which is the best movie", "Which has the best bgm score?". The answers to these questions are formed from people's opinions and that's what we are here to share in this group. Not to evaluate who is a Rahmaniac and who is not.

About this whole award thing, I was merely questioning whether Guru deserved an award based on the most commercial successful soundtrack of the year. I may be wrong with what this award really means. I'm not contradicting myself when I say that Guru is award worthy for excellent music, but questioning whether it truly deserves an award for most commercially successful soundtrack. But, again, I may be wrong in my definition of what this award it truly about. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Looking for last minute shopping deals?
