Whoever releases the audio it is always the same people working on the
mixing and mastering (H. Sridhar, Aditya Modi, KJ Singh, maybe a few
others).  I think the unclearness of the chorus in Jaage Hai from Bose
was intentional.

Swades was recorded fine.  Maybe some people are so used to overly
compressed, overly loud recordings that when a CD with good dynamic
range is released they can't appreciate it.
