Success in Bollywood has as much to do with luck as it has to do with hard
work. Not even an overly-dedicated actor like Aamir Khan is an exception to
this rule.

In fact, Aamir believes that veteran Yahoo actor Shammi Kapoor has been his
good luck charm right from his debut film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak — when
Aamir had sought Shammi's blessings — to the more recent Taare Zameen Par.
Little wonder, then, that Aamir's not taking any chances for his latest
production Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, that marks the debut of his nephew Imran
Khan.

Resisting the temptation to host a lavish party for the music launch of the
film, Aamir's planning to make it a more intimate affair by going to
Shammi's house on May 20 and presenting him with a copy of the film's music
that's been composed by AR Rahman. Incidentally, Shammi is an old family
friend having worked in classics like Teesri Manzil and Tum Sa Nahi Dekha
which were produced by Aamir's uncle Nasir Hussain.

Says Aamir, "Shammiji's blessings are important. He has been a guiding force
since a long time and has been very close to our family. It's a kind of
ritual for us to go and present him the first copy of the music. This time
it's Imran's launch and it's all the more important."
