Hi Go for CREATIVE SOUNDBLASTER 5.1 soundcard. Its the best of the sound cards. As for creating 5.1 sound effect, you first need the track to be encoded in 5.1 format. If the track and s/w supports 5.1 audio format then it will surely produce 5.1 audio through equally compatible 5.1 speakers. If you dont mind about spending money then go for creative soundblaster audigy Xfi 6 channel sound card.
