Chinmayi's voice for Bhoomika was suggested by ARR Singer Chinmayi is also a dubbing artist. Her first dubbing assignment was for the Tamil movie 'Sillunu Oru Kaadhal'.
It was A R Rahman who gave Chinmayi the big break in films with "Oru Dhaivam Thantha Poove.." suggested her voice for Bhoomika Chawla to the makers of 'Sillunu Oru Kaadhal'. A trained Hindusthani and Carnatic singer and Odissi dancer who is highly critical of herself, Chinamyi has no issues in saying no to the songs which are not in her range. And she has a sentimental attachment with her songs. "I never thought that "Oru dhaivam thantha poove.." would come out. Actually, I didn't tell anybody that I had sung for Rahman Sir.
