Slumdog Millionaire - A Million $ Gamble!
Every
body has said it, dream big dreams come true. Once you set your goal
and work towards it even if god appears in front of you, you are
unstoppable! And of course true love conquers all even if it takes
gizzilion years to get there. Yes every body has said it. Yes every
body has said it in every single way possible. But still who knew there
are more ways to it? Not just say it but say it in a way that it hits
hard on you and tells you just go do it! Just have hope. The sun has to
shine on you at the end even if it takes years to get rid of the grey.

All
these concepts weaved together in rustic harsh realities of Mumbai in
the 90's till today is this fantastic adapatation of Vikas Swarup's Q
and A, Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire! Mumbai's slums never looked
so..so..fantastic! Mind boggling! Close to home, close to heart. From
child beggars, to thugs to prostitutes to the underworld, from the dust
to the junk to the filth to the smell the dark reality of Mumbai has
never been shot so truthfully and of course colorfully.

The
story about the journey of Jamal played by Dev Patel, the story from
his childhood to his early twenties that all pave the way to his
ultimate success. Yes the past of course is crucial for the persons
present struggle and the future which is bright and filled with light.
A story of a lotus emerging from the mud and shinining so bright! Not
only this story is about Jamal but a story about India today from the
India yesterday...From Bombay to Mumbai! From the slums it was to
diamond of the world it becomes!

To sum it what a directorial
venture! Coulnd't be more close to heart and engaging! Danny Boyle is a
man to watchout for! Fabulous! The comedy weaved into reality, the
rusticness of the reality everything tol beautifully that makes the
audience go wow! A huge kudos to Anthony Don Mantle for his
extraordinary work in cinematography. The actors Dev Patel, Anil
Kapoor, Irfan Khan, Frieda Pinto and the rets of the cast perfectly
fitting and perfectly executed! And last but not least A R Rahman's
fantabulous background score that tinzilates the mind! Bravo!

On the whole Slumdog Millionaire is a Million $ Gamble! Watchout!
