Right.

Main albeli is another song that is a proof that video/ storyline go
together with the songs. When I heard that song before seeing the movie,
I found it so odd, not-arr-standard and all the BS.

And then I saw the movie and the song got its perspective. It fell in
the place where a 1940s song should be there, though 1940 music was
still quite different and banal in terms of recording techniques and
arrangements that were available those days (Remember Rattan, Shahjahan,
Andaz, Anmol Ghadi, Mahal music?). Still, by ARR's standard, this song
is much, much, much more 1947-ish than Kisna song or 1947Earth songs or
even Mangal Pandey songs.

And, the story line that the son finds an old movie clip in which his
mother had acted and sang in her youth had added a superb emotional
touch to the song and I had started liking it.
