Ghajini rocks in Kerala !

The Aamir Khan- Asin action romantic musical Ghajini has turned
out to be the biggest ever Hindi blockbuster in Kerala.
The film which released on Christmas day in 26 screens across Kerala
has netted a gargantuan Rs 50.35 lakhs in its opening four day weekend
(December 25 to 28).
In Kochi it opened in two screens Saritha and
Sridhar, and both reported record openings.
Says Suresh Shenoy, leading exhibitor and the distributor of the film
in Kerala: "The Ghajini opening is the biggest ever for a Hindi film
in Kerala. The word of mouth for the film is fantastic, added to that
everybody wants to take a look at Asin, the Kochi girl who is going to
be big in Bollywood."
The Asin craze and being the first Mallu girl to be making it huge in
Bollywood has enabled the film to garner such a huge opening.
When
contacted in Mumbai, where she is busy visiting theatres screening the
film and also giving television interviews.
Asin told sify.com:
"Ghajini
turning out to be a mega blockbuster is the best
Christmas gift, that I ever received. I'm very happy and I owe a lot to
Kochi where I grew up and Kollywood without which I would never
have made it to
Mumbai. I'm enjoying every moment of this promotion of the film, which
itself is a great learning experience."
