Like the impoverished teen it depicts rising to the top of an Indian gameshow, "Slumdog Millionaire" made its own unlikely sweep the 66th Golden Globe Awards Sunday, with four awards. No longer slumming, the film won best motion picture drama, best director for Danny Boyle, best screenplay for Simon Beaufoy, and best score for A.R. Rahman. "Your mad, pulsating affection for our movie is appreciated, deeply appreciated," director Boyle told the audience at the Beverly Hilton upon winning his award. A producer of the film was so delirious in happiness he let loose a profanity (bleeped). http://blogs.courant.com/roger_catlin_tv_eye/2009/01/a-slumdog-sweep-at-golden-glob.html -- regards, Vithur
