I want to enjoy the moment: Rahman Mumbai, Jan 22 (PTI) Celebrated composer and the first Indian to be nominated to the Oscars for original music score, A R Rahman, today said he wanted to savour the moment and not worry about the future. "There is still a month to go for the awards," Rahman said when asked if he was confident of winning.
"I want to enjoy the moment and not think of the future," he said. Expressing happiness at being nominated, Rahman said he felt good that the music of the film was well received in the West. "These are good positive vibes." The composer said there was no special celebration for him. "I am busy mixing the music of 'Delhi 6'. I am a musician and I have commitments to keep," he said. Rahman has received two nominations in the Original Song category along with Gulzar for 'Jai Ho' and 'O Saya' with Maya Arulpragasam. The music director said 'Slumdog Millionaire' was his favourite film as it portrayed reality with a sense of optimism. 'Slumdog' has been nominated for the Oscars in ten different categories including Best Picture and Best Director among others. Actor Irrfan Khan, who plays a police inspector in the film, said, "Even though 'Slumdog' is a UK film with a British director, the story is Indian." Khan expressed happiness that talent from the country was being recognised. The film releases in India tomorrow.
